What it is and the I/O it brings to a panel
The Siemens 6ED1052-2MD08-0BA1 is a LOGO! 12/24RCEO logic module — a compact, DIN-rail-mounted controller that runs on 12 or 24 VDC and packs 8 digital inputs (4 of which double as 0–10 V analog inputs) plus 4 relay outputs into a 71.5 mm wide, 4-space-unit footprint. The relay outputs switch up to 10 A resistive or 3 A inductive, so it handles direct control of small contactors, solenoid valves, or indicator loads without an interposing relay.
Supply range, memory, and environmental envelope
The module accepts a DC supply from 10.8 V to 28.8 V, covering both nominal 12 V and 24 V industrial buses with headroom for brownout conditions. Program memory holds up to 400 function blocks, and the integrated power reserve keeps the real-time clock and retentive data alive for 480 hours if the main supply drops.
Ethernet, web server, and project migration
Built-in Ethernet with an integrated web server supports data logging, user-defined web pages, and cloud connectivity — useful for remote monitoring or recipe uploads on a packaging line without adding a gateway. Projects from older LOGO! 8.3 basic units are executable on this module, and it requires LOGO! Soft Comfort V8.3 or higher for programming.
