The Siemens 6ED1055-1FB00-0BA2 is a LOGO! expansion module that adds 4 digital inputs and 4 relay outputs to a LOGO! base unit. It accepts 115 V or 230 V supply, both AC and DC, so it can sit in panels fed from a control transformer or a DC bus without a separate power supply module. The 58 mm depth keeps it flush with other modules in the rail stack. Rated IP20, so it belongs inside an enclosure — not on the machine surface where washdown or dust would reach it.
Each relay output handles 5 A resistive load (e.g. contactor coils with proper suppression, indicator lamps) and 3 A inductive load (small solenoid valves, relays). The 5 A rating is the per-channel maximum; if you parallel outputs for a single load, stay within the package limit — the listed 5 A is the per-channel ceiling. For lamp loads, the module is rated 1 000 W at 230 V AC, but drops to 500 W at 115 V AC — the inrush from cold filaments is the limiting factor, not steady-state current. Input signal thresholds are defined for both AC and DC: a logical "1" requires >79 V AC or >79 V DC; "0" is <40 V AC or <30 V DC. That means it works with standard 115 V or 230 V control signals without extra interface relays. Response time from input change to output update is 40 ms on the rising edge and 75 ms on the falling edge — fast enough for most process interlocks, but not for high-speed counting or safety-rated stop circuits.
Ambient limits and approvals
Rated for 0 °C to 55 °C ambient. If you have a firmware version ES03 or higher, the lower limit extends to -20 °C — useful for unheated storage or outdoor cabinets in temperate climates. Developed in accordance with IEC 61131 and VDE 0631.
