Two RTD inputs for the LOGO! 8 rack
The Siemens 6ED1055-1MD00-0BA2 is a LOGO! AM2 RTD expansion module that adds two analog inputs for Pt100 or Pt1000 resistance thermometers to a LOGO! 8 base unit. Each input accepts 2- or 3-wire connection, covering the -50 to +200 °C range typical for motor winding, bearing, or process temperature monitoring. The module draws 30 mA from the backplane and accepts a supply range of 10.8 to 28.8 V DC, so it runs on the same 12 or 24 V DC rail as the LOGO! controller. Two spacing units wide (35.5 mm) on 35 mm DIN rail — it fits the standard LOGO! expansion footprint without stealing extra panel width.
RTD sensor compatibility and wiring
The module supports both Pt100 and Pt1000 sensors. The Pt1000 option is useful when you need to run longer sensor leads — the higher nominal resistance reduces the error from lead resistance compared to Pt100. The 2- or 3-wire connection lets you choose between simpler wiring (2-wire) or compensated lead resistance (3-wire) for better accuracy. No voltage or current analog inputs (0-10 V, 0-20 mA) are available on this module — it is dedicated to resistance thermometers only. If your BOM calls for mixed signal types, you will need a separate LOGO! AM2 AQ or AM2 PT100 module alongside this one.
Environmental limits and approvals
Rated for 0 to 55 °C ambient (standard units) and down to -20 °C for ES03 and higher hardware revisions. The module carries UL, CSA, FM, CE, and marine approvals, so it passes inspection for most industrial and shipboard panels. Developed in accordance with IEC 61131 and rated limit class B for residential-area use — it meets the emissions standard for equipment installed near domestic environments, not just industrial zones.
