40 A output with thermal derating profile
The 6EP3437-8SB00-2AY0 delivers 40 A per output from a 400-500 V AC three-phase input, with the full rating available up to +50 °C ambient. Above that, derate 2.5 % per Kelvin — at +60 °C ambient the available current drops to 30 A. No derating applies when paired with the CNX8600 expansion module and total output load stays under 480 W. Feeder protection is specified: a 3-pole miniature circuit breaker 10-16 A characteristic C, or a Siemens 3RV2011-1DA10 (setting 3 A) or 3RV2711-1DD10 (UL 489). The output is SELV per EN 60950-1 and EN 50178, so downstream circuits in a control cabinet stay at safe extra-low voltage.
DIN rail snap-on and terminal layout
Snaps onto DIN rail EN 60715 35x15 — standard 35 mm profile. Input terminals: plug-in with one screwed connection each for 0.2-4 mm² single-wire or fine-stranded. Output terminals: plug-in with two screw connectors for 0.5-10 mm²; the 0 V terminal has three screw connectors for the same wire range. This lets you land multiple load returns on a single terminal without a separate distribution block. Storage and transport range -40 to +85 °C. MTBF at 40 °C is 235,118 hours, which translates to about 27 years continuous operation at that temperature.
