DC UPS module for 24 V buffer bridges
The Siemens 6EP4134-3AB00-1AY0 is a SITOP UPS1600 DC UPS module that sits between a 24 V DC power supply and the load, providing buffered backup when the input voltage drops. Rated 10 A continuous with a 30 A peak capability, it keeps critical controls alive through a mains dip without switching to a separate battery charger topology.
Buffered mode and alarm signaling
In normal operation the green OK LED is lit and the changeover contact signals that the supply voltage is above the cut-in threshold. When the input falls below that threshold, the module switches to buffered mode — the yellow Bat LED comes on and the OK/Bat contact changes state. If the battery voltage drops below 20.4 V DC, a red alarm LED and the Alarm/Bat contact alert the PLC. An energy storage level above 85 % lights the green Bat > 85 % LED and closes the Bat > 85 NO contact. The floating changeover contacts are rated for DC 60 V / 1 A or AC 30 V / 1 A.
DIN rail integration and approvals
The module snaps onto a 35x7.5/15 DIN rail per EN 60715 and measures 50 mm wide, 139 mm high, and 125 mm deep. It carries cULus listing under UL 508 and CSA C22.2 No. 107.1 (File E197259), plus CE, C-Tick, EAC, and shipbuilding approvals from ABS and DNV GL. The IP20 enclosure suits clean, dry control cabinet environments.
