Battery module for SITOP UPS backup
The Siemens 6EP4135-0GB00-0AY0 is a 12-cell lead-acid battery module rated 12 A·h, designed as the energy storage for SITOP UPS systems. It provides DC backup power during mains loss, sized to hold up a 24 VDC bus for the duration determined by the load draw and the capacity derating curve. Capacity falls to 80 % of original capacity per EUROBAT criteria over life — a standard endurance benchmark for valve-regulated lead-acid batteries in float service. The module delivers 4 A at 20 °C typical, 2 A at 30 °C, 1 A at 40 °C, and 0.5 A at 50 °C, so the actual backup time depends on ambient temperature and discharge rate. Operating range is -15 to +50 °C; storage from -20 to +40 °C. Transport tolerance extends to +50 °C. The IP20 enclosure (253 mm wide, 201 mm high, 110 mm deep) mounts via keyhole slots for M4 screws on a flat surface — no DIN rail or S7 rail option.
Carries CE, cURus (UL 1778, CSA C22.2 No. 107.1), EAC, C-Tick, and shipbuilding approvals from ABS and DNV GL. No ATEX rating — not certified for explosive atmospheres. CSA approval is not listed.
Wiring and installation notes
Connection uses one screw terminal per polarity, accepting 0.5 to 16 mm² for +BAT and -BAT. The recommended float voltage is temperature-compensated: 28 V at 0 °C, stepping down to 26.3 V at 50 °C. DIN/VDE 0510 Part 2 / EN 50272-2 applies for ventilation and clearance — keep ignition sources at least 50 cm away.
