The Siemens 6EP4137-3AB00-0AY0 is a SITOP DC UPS module that buffers 24 V DC loads using an external battery. It is rated for 40 A continuous and can deliver 120 A peak for up to 12 ms, covering inrush from capacitive loads or short motor starts. The module snaps onto a standard DIN rail EN 60715 35x7.5/15 and measures 70 mm wide by 139 mm high by 150 mm deep, with IP20 protection.
Status and signaling
Three floating relay contacts and a multi-color LED provide panel-side status: green for normal operation, yellow for buffered mode, red for alarm (battery pre-warning below 20.4 V DC, or battery replacement required). A separate NO contact closes when battery energy storage exceeds 85%. The relay contacts are rated for DC 60 V / 1 A or AC 30 V / 1 A, suitable for driving a PLC input or alarm beacon.
Environmental and approvals
The module operates from -25 to +70 °C with natural convection, and can be stored or transported from -40 to +85 °C. It carries CE, cULus (UL 508, CSA C22.2 No. 107.1), EAC, and shipbuilding approvals (ABS, DNV GL). EMC compliance covers EN 55022 Class B for emissions and EN 61000-6-2 for immunity.
