The 6EP4437-8XB00-0CY0: The 40 A rated current is the total system limit — no single output can exceed 10 A, and the sum across all four outputs must stay at or below 40 A. The 97% efficiency means only 3% of input power is lost as heat, which keeps the enclosure cool and reduces derating needs in a crowded panel. The IP20 protection means it is safe for dry indoor cabinets but not washdown environments.
The module snaps onto a DIN rail EN 60735 35x15. The enclosure is 60 mm wide and 150 mm deep. Clearance requirements: 50 mm top and bottom, 0 mm left and right. That zero side clearance means modules can be ganged directly without gaps — useful for dense panel layouts.
Output wiring and overcurrent behavior
Each output uses two plug-in terminals with two screw connections each, accepting 0.2–2.5 mm² wire. The ground terminal is a separate plug-in with three screw connections. Overcurrent response: Ia >1.0 to <1.5 × Ia threshold is permissible for 5 s; Ia at 1.5 × Ia threshold is permissible for 200 ms. That gives the downstream breaker time to clear a fault without nuisance tripping the module.
Environmental and approvals
MTBF at 40 °C is 358,372 hours. Approvals: CE marking, cULus-Listed to UL 508 and CSA C22.2 No. 107.1, EAC, and shipbuilding approvals from ABS and DNV GL. The module is not ATEX or IECEx rated, so it is not suitable for explosive atmospheres.
