What it is and what it does
The 6EP7133-6AE00-0BN0: The unit carries ATEX II 3G Ex ec nC IIC T3 Gc and IECEx Ex ec nC IIC T3 Gc approvals, making it suitable for installation in Zone 2 gas atmospheres. That's a real differentiator for panel builders working in potentially explosive environments — most general-purpose supplies don't have this stamp.
Mounting and clearance
Snaps onto standard DIN rail EN 60715 35x7.5/15. The top clearance is 50 mm and bottom clearance is 50 mm; left and right sides need 0 mm. That zero side gap means you can pack units tight on the rail — useful when panel space is at a premium. PushIn terminals at input (L, N, PE) accept 0.2–2.5 mm² single-core or finely stranded wire. Output has two PushIn terminals each for + and -, same wire range. No screwdriver needed for termination — speeds up wiring on repetitive builds.
Thermal performance and derating
Rated for 0–12 A output, but the continuous rating is 10 A up to +60 °C with natural convection. Above 60 °C up to 70 °C, derate at 3% per K. That's a solid thermal envelope for most industrial cabinets — just don't expect full 12 A above 60 °C without forced airflow. MTBF at 40 °C is 1,114,510 hours — roughly 127 years. That number assumes nominal conditions, but it signals a design built for long service life in continuous operation.
Compliance and approvals
CE marked, cULus-Listed (UL 61010-2-201, CSA C22.2 No. 142), cCSAus (CSA C22.2 No. 60950-1, UL 60950-1), EAC, C-Tick, and DNV GL approved. No UL hazardous location approval, but the ATEX/IECEx Zone 2 covers the gas-group side. Galvanic isolation provides SELV output per EN 60950-1 and EN 50178. Protection class IP20 — fine for a clean indoor panel, not for washdown or dusty environments.
