The Siemens 6ES7131-4BB00-0AA0 is a 2-channel digital input module for the ET 200S distributed I/O system, supplied as a 5-pack unit. Each channel accepts 24 V DC signals from the power module, with a signal "1" threshold of +15 to +30 V and signal "0" from -30 to +5 V. At 15 mm wide per slice, this module fits the standard ET 200S terminal block mounting rail — the 5-pack covers ten input points across five adjacent slots in the same footprint as a single wider module.
Input timing and sensor compatibility
Input filtering is fixed (not parameterizable) with a typical 3 ms transition time for both rising and falling edges. Minimum is 2 ms, maximum 4.5 ms — the PLC scan cycle must accommodate this latency for high-speed counting or fast fault detection. Supports 2-wire proximity sensors with a permissible quiescent current up to 1.5 mA. The module draws up to 500 mA from the supply voltage L+ (dependent on encoder load) and 10 mA from the backplane bus at 3.3 V DC. Reverse polarity protection is built in. Isolation is tested at 500 V DC between channels and the backplane bus, though there is no channel-to-channel isolation — adjacent inputs share a common reference.
