Two inputs per slot, 24 V DC, 500 mA bus supply
The Siemens 6ES7131-4BB01-0AB0 is a 2-channel digital input module for the ET 200S distributed I/O system. It draws up to 500 mA from the module bus at 24 V DC, with a typical power loss of 0.4 W. Input voltage threshold for signal "1" is +11 to +30 V DC; signal "0" is -30 to +5 V DC. Typical input current at signal "1" is 8 mA per channel.
Input filter and interrupt timing for takt
The input filter is parameterizable: 0.1 / 0.5 / 3 / 15 ms per channel. At the fastest setting (0.1 ms), the minimum on-to-off transition time is 0.05 ms, max 0.15 ms — deterministic enough to catch fast sensor edges on a body-shop weld line without missing a cycle. A parameterizable hardware interrupt is available, so the module can trigger an immediate PLC task on a signal edge instead of waiting for a cyclic poll.
Physical fit in the ET 200S backplane
Unshielded cable runs up to 600 m; shielded up to 1 000 m. The module provides electronic short-circuit protection of outputs to ground, module by module, with a diagnostic function that can be enabled or disabled per channel.
