8-channel DI slice for ET 200SP
The Siemens 6ES7131-6BF01-2AA0 is an 8-channel digital input module for the ET 200SP distributed I/O system, accepting 24 VDC signals with P-reading (source input) logic. The input voltage thresholds are defined for industrial 24 VDC rails: a signal "0" is detected from -30 to +5 V, and a signal "1" from +11 to +30 V. This gives a clean 6 V noise margin between the off and on thresholds, which helps reject ripple on long field-wiring runs.
Wiring and BaseUnit compatibility
This module mates exclusively with BU type A0 BaseUnits. For a 2-wire sensor connection, the standard BU type A0 is sufficient; a 3-wire sensor requires the BU type A0 with AUX terminals to supply the sensor power; and a 4-wire connection needs the BU type A0 plus a separate potential distributor module. The BaseUnit carries the wiring terminals, so swapping the electronics module does not disturb the field wiring. Unshielded cable runs up to 600 m are supported; shielded cable extends the reach to 1 000 m. The module draws 1.6 W typ from the backplane bus when all eight inputs are supplied via the encoder supply at 24 V — a modest load that fits within the ET 200SP bus power budget for a dense I/O station.
