ET 200SP digital input slice, 15 mm wide
The Siemens 6ES7131-6BH00-2BA0 is a digital input module for the ET 200SP distributed I/O system. It accepts 24 V DC signals from sensors and switches, with a signal "1" threshold of +11 to +30 V and signal "0" from -30 to +5 V. The 15 mm width fits tightly in a crowded cabinet — you can pack more channels per meter of DIN rail than the wider 20 mm slices. Rated power loss is 1.7 W typical, so thermal buildup in a dense rack is manageable. The module supports parameterizable input delays (0.05 ms to 20 ms min/max for both rising and falling edges), letting you debounce noisy dry contacts or catch fast pulses from a proximity sensor.
Wire-break diagnostics and base unit compatibility
This module includes module-by-module wire-break diagnostics, with an optional protective circuit using a 25 kOhm to 45 kOhm resistor to prevent false wire-break alarms on simple encoder contacts. It also supports group error and diagnostic alarms — useful for quickly isolating a failed sensor on a line. It mounts on BU type A0 base units. For 2-wire sensors, the base unit alone handles the connection; for 3- or 4-wire sensors, you add external terminals. The module is P-reading (source input) and supports automatic encoding on insertion — no DIP switches to set.
