The Siemens 6ES7131-6CF00-0AU0 is an 8-channel digital input module for the ET 200SP distributed I/O system. It accepts 2-wire sensors and reads P-switching inputs, with a rated supply of 48 V AC/DC (24 V/48 V AC at 50/60 Hz also supported). Each channel can sink up to 1 A continuously at 60 °C, making it suitable for driving small solenoids or indicator loads directly without an external relay.
The module is 20 mm wide and 73 mm tall, fitting the ET 200SP base unit type U0. It requires a potential distributor module for 3-wire or 4-wire sensor connections. Unshielded cable runs up to 600 m are allowed; shielded runs extend to 1 000 m. The isolation is tested at 1 200 V DC between the supply voltage and the backplane bus.

Signal thresholds: a logic '0' is detected for AC/DC below 10 V; logic '1' requires AC above 14 V or DC above 34 V. Typical input current at signal '1' is 3.5 mA. Switching delays are 15 ms max for 0→1 and 20 ms max for 1→0. The module draws 1.5 W typical from the backplane. Diagnostic alarms and group error reporting are supported; firmware version is V0.0 and is not field-upgradable.
