The 6ES7131-6TF00-0CA0: Diagnostics are per channel: wire-break and short-circuit flagged independently, with a diagnostic alarm that can bite into the PLC program. That saves a lot of shoe-leather on a line-down. Maximum cable length 200 m shielded, enough for most field runs.
Slot fit and wiring
Mounts on a BU type A0 base unit — that's the standard slim 15 mm slice for ET 200SP. Supports 1-wire, 2-wire, 3-wire, and 4-wire sensor connections; for 3- and 4-wire you'll need external terminals. At 1.5 W typ. power loss, you can pack several into a station without thermal trouble. Firmware updates possible, and hardware status from FS04.
