16 digital outputs at 2 A per group — the current-limiting factor
The 6ES7132-0BH11-0XB0: This ET 200S module packs 16 digital outputs into a single 235 mm-wide slice, each output rated 24 V DC and grouped in fours at 2 A per group. The grouping means the total load across any set of four channels cannot exceed 2 A — the per-channel limit is effectively 0.5 A if all four are on simultaneously, though the module can deliver 2 A to a single channel within the group. The 7 W max power loss tells you the thermal budget: at full load, that 7 W is dissipated inside the enclosure, so adjacent modules need breathing room.
PROFIBUS DP at 12 Mbit/s — bus timing matters
The module communicates over PROFIBUS DP at up to 12 Mbit/s, with bus fault and RUN LEDs on the front for quick signal-integrity checks. Unshielded cable runs are good to 100 m — beyond that, or in a VFD-heavy panel, you'll want shielded PROFIBUS cable to keep the bus error rate down. The electronic short-circuit protection per channel means a faulted output drops out without taking the whole group or the backplane bus down.
