Panel fit and output drive
The 6ES7132-1BH11-0XB0: It provides 16 digital outputs, each rated at 500 mA continuous at 24 V DC, with electronic short-circuit protection and reverse polarity protection on the supply side. The module communicates over PROFIBUS DP at up to 1.5 Mbit/s, supports FREEZE and SYNC functions for SC inputs, and includes group error (SF) and bus fault (BF) LEDs for quick diagnostics.
Current derating and load switching
Total output current from the module supply is 4 A at 30 °C ambient, derating to 2 A at 40 °C and 2 A at 60 °C — plan the load distribution across the 16 channels accordingly. Maximum switching frequency is 100 Hz on resistive loads and 0.5 Hz on inductive loads; lamp loads are limited to 8 Hz. The module draws up to 180 mA from the 24 V DC supply for its own electronics, separate from the output load current.
