Switching performance and load limits
Resistive load switching is rated up to 100 Hz; inductive loads drop to 2 Hz, and lamp loads to 10 Hz. The output turns on in 200 µs max and off in 1.3 ms max, with a response threshold of 0.7 to 1.8 A for short-circuit detection. Inductive shutdown voltage is clamped to -55 to -60 V, and reverse polarity protection is present when the load voltage matches the power module supply.
Each module occupies 15 mm width on the ET 200S terminal block, with a depth of 52 mm and height of 81 mm — the slim profile leaves room for adjacent I/O slices in a dense cabinet. Unshielded cable runs up to 600 m; shielded runs up to 1 000 m. The module draws 10 mA max from the backplane bus and 5 mA max from L+ (unloaded). A green LED per channel indicates output status; diagnostics are not provided on this standard module.
