Module overview – 2 digital outputs with per-channel diagnostics
The Siemens 6ES7132-4BB30-0AB0 is an ET 200S electronic module carrying two digital outputs, each rated for 24 V DC and 2 A continuous. Power is drawn from the backplane bus; the module does not require an external load supply. The 15 mm width keeps the DIN rail stack tight – essential for dense I/O panels. Both channels offer independent wire-break and short-circuit detection, with diagnostics readable over the backplane. This cuts fault-finding time on profibus or profinet drops – no need to meter each terminal individually. Response times: 100 µs from 0 to 1, 400 µs from 1 to 0. For resistive loads it can switch at 100 Hz; inductive loads (0.5 H) at 2 Hz. These numbers matter when driving fast solenoids or valves.
Integration notes – wiring and mounting
Mounts on an ET 200S terminal module (e.g., 6ES7193-4CC30-0AA0). Shielded cable runs up to 1 000 m are allowed; unshielded to 600 m. The module is reverse-polarity protected and has isolation tested at 500 V DC between channels and backplane. Each output delivers a rated value of 2 A at signal '1', with a minimum load voltage of L+ (-1 V). Residual current at signal '0' is max 0.5 mA. For redundant control of a load, the module supports per-module redundancy. The address space consumed is 1 byte.
