ET 200SP slice for 24 V DC loads
The Siemens 6ES7132-6BF00-0BA0 is an 8-channel digital output module for the ET 200SP distributed I/O system. It switches 24 V DC loads, sourcing current at up to 4 A per channel across all channels simultaneously up to 60 °C. The 15 mm wide slice fits the standard ET 200SP DIN-rail profile, mated to a BU type A0 base unit.
Output current and switching performance
Each channel delivers 4 A continuous up to 60 °C ambient, with no derating between channels — the full 4 A is available on every output simultaneously. The module switches on in 50 µs at rated load and off in 100 µs, fast enough for most solenoid and contactor banks without external suppression. The 1 W typical power loss keeps the slice cool in a densely populated rack.
Wiring and base unit compatibility
The module requires a BU type A0 base unit. For 2-wire and 3-wire connections, the base unit itself provides the wiring terminals. For 4-wire connections, add a potential distributor module. The 3-wire configuration with AUX terminals or a potential distributor module is the most common field wiring pattern. Unshielded cable runs up to 600 m; shielded runs up to 1 000 m.
Diagnostics and monitoring
The module supports I&M data (I&M0 to I&M3) for asset tracking, module-wise wire-break detection, and module-wise short-circuit monitoring. A group error signal and diagnostic alarm are available. The diagnostics function is enabled by default. Firmware version V1.1 is field-updatable.
