Output voltage range and channel count
The 6ES7132-6FD00-2BB1 is an ET 200SP digital output module with 8 channels (1 byte) rated for 24 V AC to 230 V AC. Each channel sources 2 A continuous, but the total module current is derated by ambient temperature: 8 A up to 30 °C, 6 A up to 40 °C, and 4 A up to 50 °C or 60 °C. The 230 V AC rating means this module directly drives contactors, solenoid valves, and indicator lamps without an intermediate relay — a common requirement in panel builds where the control voltage is the same as the line voltage.
Base unit and wiring constraints
This module requires a BU type base unit. The base supports 1-wire, 2-wire, 3-wire, and 4-wire connections; for 4-wire you also need a potential distributor module. The base unit snaps onto the DIN rail and carries the backplane bus — the output module plugs into it without tools. The module width is 20 mm, so it occupies one slot in the ET 200SP station.
Switching performance and diagnostics
The output switches in 10 ms max from 0 to 1 and 1 to 0. On lamp loads the maximum switching frequency is 1 Hz — a practical limit when driving incandescent indicators where the inrush current is 10–15× the steady-state. The module supports I&M data (I&M0 to I&M3) and group error diagnostics, but no diagnostic alarm, no wire-break detection, and no short-circuit detection per channel. The firmware version is V1.0 and is field-upgradable.
