Power budget and output drive
The 6ES7132-7GD20-0AB0: Pulls 380 mA typical from the backplane bus and dissipates 2.8 W — factor that in when loading a station with multiple slices. The 40 mA per output is plenty for small solenoids or pilot lights; wire two outputs in parallel and you get 80 mA. Switching is crisp: 2 ms on, 1.5 ms off. Diagnostics are built in: wire-break flags when load resistance exceeds 10 kΩ or current drops below 100 µA. Short-circuit detection triggers at under 800 Ω on one output, or under 40 Ω when paralleled. The group error LED (red) and readable diagnostics help pinpoint faults fast.
Physical fit and addressing
Sized 136.5 mm deep, 30 mm wide, 129 mm high — occupies one slot in an ET200iSP station. The 30 mm width is standard for this platform; no adapters needed. Address space consumed is 2 bytes per module. Status LED per channel (green) gives quick visual confirmation.
