Intrinsically safe output module
The Siemens 6ES7132-7RD10-0AB0 is a 4-channel digital output module for the ET200iSP intrinsically safe remote I/O system, rated 27 mA per channel at 17.4 V DC. It includes per-channel diagnostics, wire-break detection (thresholds R>10 kΩ, I<100 μA), and short-circuit detection (R<800 Ω single output, R<40 Ω with outputs paralleled). The module is certified for hazardous-area use with ATEX II2 G (1) GD EEx ib[ia] IIC T4 and KEMA 04 ATEX 1249, and carries CE marking. Power dissipation is 2.1 W typical, drawing 260 mA from the backplane. Switching frequency: 100 Hz with resistive loads, 2 Hz with inductive loads.
This module is in active current production, making it available for new builds and as a qualified spare for existing ET200iSP racks. Given its Ex rating and role in safety-critical loops, we recommend keeping at least one in the cabinet before a failure.
