The 6ES7134-4FB01-0AB0 is an ET 200S analog input module that snaps onto the DIN rail in a standard Siemens I/O rack. It draws its 24 V DC from the power module on the rail, not a separate supply, so the backplane bus handles the power distribution. At 15 mm wide, it fits into tight cabinet layouts — you can pack several of these next to each other without crowding the wireway. The shielded analog cable run is good for up to 200 m, which covers most field sensor runs in a plant.
What the input specs mean on the line
Two analog inputs, each configurable for ±10 V, ±5 V, or 1 to 5 V ranges, with a 14-bit resolution that gives you about 0.6 mV per step on the ±10 V range. That's enough resolution for most process signals — pressure transmitters, temperature transducers, flow meters — without needing a higher-count module. The conversion time is 65 ms per channel. The integration time is adjustable in four stages via digital filtering to smooth noisy signals. Wire-break detection works only in the 1 to 5 V range — if you're using a 4-20 mA shunt resistor, make sure the resulting voltage falls in that band or you lose the diagnostic. The module also flags overflow/underflow and a group error, which you can enable or disable per channel.
