Part identity & placement
Siemens 6ES7134-4JB01-0AB0 is a 2-channel analog input module for the ET 200S family. It supports thermocouple types B, E, J, K, L, N, R, S, and T. Runs on 24 V DC from the power module, draws 0.6 W typical. Integration time is parameterizable at 16,7 or 20 ms, and digital filtering can be set in four stages (none, low, medium, high) to knock down line noise.
What the ratings mean on the bench
The 1 MΩ input resistance (Type B) means negligible loading on thermocouple signals. Wire-break diagnostics work on thermocouples only — if you tie it to a voltage source, wire-break detection won't trip, so don't rely on it for RTD or mV-only loops. Shielded cable max length is 50 m; longer runs invite noise into the integrating ADC. The module isolates inputs to 500 V DC tested, which covers the ground-loop gap typical in multi-drop field wiring. Group diagnostics and overflow/underflow flags are individually enable/disable. The group error SF LED (red) on the front stays lit for any enabled fault, so you can wire it to the CPU's digital input for a single alarm point. Between-the-channels isolation is absent — keep the common-mode voltage within the module's range on each channel pair.
Lifecycle & sourcing posture
If you're filling a BOM line, quote this exact 6ES7134-4JB01-0AB0 against your order. No known direct replacement needed; it's the variant that covers the broadest TC list for a 2-channel ET 200S slice. Sourcing is straightforward — standard lead times apply, and we can quote to your schedule.
