That covers most temperature sensing in industrial process lines without needing a separate converter per probe type. Power comes from the ET 200S backplane at 24 VDC — no separate field supply needed. It uses a sigma-delta integrating measurement principle, with a selectable integration time of 16.7 ms or 20 ms. The 20 ms setting rejects 50 Hz line noise cleanly; 16.7 ms handles 60 Hz. Filtering, diagnostics, and cable reach

Digital filtering is configurable in four stages: none (1× cycle time), low (4×), medium (32×), or high (64×). The high setting smooths a noisy signal but adds latency — fine for a slow thermal process, not for a fast-reacting temperature loop on a plastic extruder barrel. Diagnostics cover wire-break, overflow/underflow, and group error — each can be enabled or disabled independently. The group error is mapped to the red SF LED on the module face, so a glance at the rack tells you if any channel is faulted. Isolation between channels is not provided; the module is tested at 500 V DC between the I/O and the backplane. Maximum shielded cable length is 200 m.
