Eight channels, one module width
The Siemens 6ES7134-6GF00-0AA1 is an 8-channel analog input module for the ET 200SP distributed I/O system. It accepts 0 to 20 mA, 4 to 20 mA, and -20 to +20 mA signals, all single-ended, so you get eight process-variable inputs in a 15 mm-wide slice on the DIN rail. Each channel is field-wired through a BaseUnit — type A0 or A1 for 2-wire transmitters, and type A0 or A1 plus a potential distributor module for 4-wire transmitters. The module encodes its identity automatically when you seat it on the BaseUnit, so the configuration software picks up the slot without manual addressing.
Diagnostics that save a trip out to the panel
Wire-break detection is active on 4 to 20 mA channels, and short-circuit detection monitors the sensor supply to M, module by module. When either fault hits, the module fires a diagnostic alarm and lights the red/green DIAG LED — you know which slice is down without opening the cabinet door. Power loss is 0.7 W typical without encoder supply, and the total encoder current available across all channels is 0.7 A. That matters when you're feeding loop-powered transmitters — stay under the ceiling or add a separate supply. I&M data (I&M0 to I&M3) is supported, so the module carries its own identity and maintenance history in the tag database. The firmware can be updated in the field, and the hardware functional status starts at FS04.
