Module overview
It measures current on up to three phases plus neutral, along with voltage, frequency, power, and energy. Firmware version V8.0 is shipped from the factory, matching TIA Portal libraries at that revision.
I/O and diagnostics
The module provides 256 bytes of input data and 20 bytes of output data. It supports I&M data (I&M0 to I&M3) for asset tracking, diagnostic alarm, limit value alarm, and hardware interrupt (monitoring up to 16 freely selectable process values). Overflow/underflow detection and channel-not-available handling are built in.
Base unit type U0 is required; this module works only with BU type U0 in 2-wire connection. Maximum cable length is 200 m for both shielded and unshielded runs. Isolation is tested at 1 920 V AC for 2 s between channels and backplane/24 V supply, and 707 V DC between backplane and 24 V supply. Power loss is typically 1 W under a 3x 5 A input at 230 V AC load. Firmware can be updated in the field, and automatic encoding simplifies replacement without manual address assignment. Isochronous mode is not supported — this module uses the standard ET 200SP backplane communication.
