Two current outputs, 15 mm slice
The Siemens 6ES7135-4GB01-0AB0 is an ET 200S analog output module delivering 2 channels of current output in a 15 mm-wide slice. It covers the full industrial loop range: 4 mA to 20 mA and -20 mA to +20 mA, so it handles both live-zero signalling and bipolar control signals from one module. Rated supply is 24 V DC drawn from the ET 200S power module. The module pulls up to 150 mA from the load voltage L+ line and 10 mA from the backplane bus.
Diagnostics and fault response
Built-in diagnostics cover wire-break detection and group error reporting, both configurable as enable/disable. The group error is signalled via the red SF LED on the module face. Diagnostic information is readable over the backplane, with an address space of up to 4 bytes and a 7-byte remark field. On CPU/master STOP the module can be set to one of three behaviours: de-energize the output, substitute a value, or keep the last value. This matters for process loops where a held output prevents a bump on restart.
Load drive and isolation
Each current output drives up to 500 Ω resistive load, and up to 1 mH inductive load. The no-load voltage at the output terminal is capped at 18 V. Maximum cable length is 200 m when shielded. Isolation is tested at 500 V DC between channels and the backplane bus, and between channels and load voltage L+. There is no channel-to-channel isolation — adjacent outputs share a common reference. Reverse polarity protection is included on the supply input.
