Siemens 6ES7135-4GB52-0AB0 is an active-production analog output module for the ET 200S distributed I/O system. It provides two 4-20 mA current outputs in a 15 mm wide slice — a slot-saver in dense ET 200S stations. Diagnostics for wire-break and group errors come onboard, so you can pinpoint a failed loop without dragging a laptop to the panel.
Cycle time and load limits
Cycle time across both channels is 250 µs — fast enough for most process loops. Each output can drive up to 500 Ω at the max compliant voltage of 18 V. Response time is a fixed 0.05 ms for resistive, inductive, or capacitive loads (–) — no tuning needed. Inductive loads can go up to 1 mH with the short TWA (time-weighted average) pulse; keep cable runs under 20 m for that 100 µs case.
Field-service diagnostics
Wire-break and group error detection are both enable/disable via parameters. The SF (red) LED flags a group fault. That’s useful when you’re on site and need to confirm which channel dropped before pulling the terminal block. Diagnostics are readable and can be grouped or per-channel depending on how you configure the error assembly.
Mounting and wiring notes
Width is 15 mm on the ET 200S DIN rail mount — two such modules occupy the same space as a standard 30 mm slice. Depth is 52 mm, height 81 mm. The 4-20 mA outputs are two-wire capable; four-wire connection is not supported. Reverse polarity protection is built in. Shielding: max 200 m standard, but drop to 20 m if using TWA 100 µs timing. Address space is 4 bytes plus 7 bytes remark.
