2-channel analog output — 15 mm slice for ET 200SP
The Siemens 6ES7135-6HB00-0CA1 is a 2-channel analog output module for the ET 200SP distributed I/O system. It fits a 15 mm wide BaseUnit (BU type A0 or A1) and draws a maximum of 90 mA from the 24 V DC backplane bus. Resolution tops at 16 bits including sign for the ±10 V and ±20 mA ranges — enough for precision valve or drive setpoint loops. The 5 µs jitter ceiling keeps the output update deterministic for isochronous motion control.
Voltage and current ranges — what the bits buy you
The module covers seven output ranges: 0–10 V (15 bit), 0–20 mA (15 bit), 4–20 mA (14 bit), 1–5 V (13 bit), ±5 V (15 bit incl. sign), ±10 V (16 bit incl. sign), and ±20 mA (16 bit incl. sign). The voltage output cable is limited to 200 m shielded; current outputs can run 1 000 m shielded. Load settling is 0.05 ms for resistive, inductive, or capacitive loads (max 47 nF at 20 m cable). That 0.05 ms is the same across all three load types — the module does not slow down for inductive or capacitive loops. Wire-break detection works per channel, but only when the output type is set to current. Short-circuit detection is per channel, only for voltage output type. Both diagnostics trigger a group error and a diagnostic alarm.
Lifecycle and sourcing — active, no LTB pressure
Hardware functional status starts at FS04. The module carries I&M data (I&M0 to I&M3) for asset tracking. Isolation is tested at 707 V DC type test between the bus and the field circuits.
Panel fit and field wiring
Compatible BaseUnits are BU type A0 and A1. The module does not support oversampling or MSO (multi-step operation). Channel-to-channel isolation is not provided — the outputs share a common reference. Three status LEDs: green for channel status, green/red DIAG for module diagnostics, and red for channel diagnostics. Power loss is 0.9 W typical.
