CANopen slice for ET 200SP
The Siemens 6ES7137-6EA00-0BA0 is a CANopen interface module for the ET 200SP distributed I/O system, supporting both CAN Standard 2.0A/B and CANopen Manager/Slave operation per CiA. It provides a single CAN port with push-in terminals, draws 0.5 W from the 24 V DC backplane, and fits a BU type A0 base unit. SYNC support enables isochronous data exchange, critical for synchronized axis groups on packaging machines or coordinated drives. The module handles up to 60 CANopen slaves and 128 PDOs send/receive, with transmission rates from 10 kbit/s to 1 Mbit/s.
Mounting and power budget
The module occupies a 15 mm wide slot in the ET 200SP station, with a depth of 58 mm and height of 73 mm. The 0.5 W power loss keeps the backplane budget low even in dense configurations—figure roughly 30 modules per CU before hitting headroom limits on a 3 A segment. Isolation is rated at 500 V AC or 707 V DC between the CAN interface and the backplane, protecting the backplane bus from field-side noise. The RUN and ERROR LEDs offer immediate visual status; a heartbeat LED confirms the module is alive. Maintenance LED is absent.
Lifecycle and compliance
Compliance documentation includes CE, UL, KC, RoHS, EAC, and RCM marks. The module carries a KC registration number R-R-S49-ET200SPCMCAN. For quality/PO trace, the nameplate must match the order code exactly—no firmware suffix is factored into the MPN.
