The 6ES7138-4CB11-0AB0 is a SIMATIC DP PM-E power module for the ET 200S distributed I/O system. It accepts dual-range supply — 24-48 V DC or 24-230 V AC — and feeds the backplane bus and connected electronic modules. The integrated diagnostics and fuse cover the module group downstream, so a blown load circuit doesn't take down the entire station. At 15 mm wide and 52 mm deep, this module occupies a single ET 200S slot on the DIN rail. The 5 W maximum power loss is the heat it dumps into the enclosure; factor that into the panel thermal budget when populating adjacent slots.
Integration notes
Snaps onto the standard 35 mm DIN rail inside the ET 200S mounting rail. The 15 mm width means it consumes one slot position — plan the I/O group layout so the PM-E sits at the start of the segment, per Siemens topology rules. The 24-230 V AC range covers both European 230 V line and North American 120 V control circuits without a separate transformer tap.
