The 6ES7138-4DA03-0AB0 is a single-channel counter module for the Siemens ET 200SP distributed I/O system. It packs a 32-bit counter (up to 100 kHz), one digital input, and one digital output into a 15 mm-wide slice, saving panel space without sacrificing diagnostics. Powered at 24 V DC with reverse-polarity protection.
Input and output characteristics
The digital input is switched for signal '1' from +11 V up to L+ (-1 V), typical sinking 9 mA. The output is rated 24 V DC, 500 mA maximum with short-circuit protection; switching frequency reaches 100 Hz resistive load. For sensor interfacing, it supports 2-wire sensors (Type 2) and directly controls other digital inputs.
Integration and mounting
Module occupies 15 mm rail width, 81 mm height, 52 mm depth. Unshielded cable runs up to 600 m and shielded up to 1 000 m.
