16-channel digital output for ET 200SP with integrated PROFINET
The Siemens 6ES7142-6BH00-0AB0 is a 16-output digital output module for the ET 200SP distributed I/O system, rated at 24 V DC per channel. It integrates a two-port PROFINET switch with full protocol support including ARP, DCP, MRP, LLDP, Ping, and SNMP, enabling loop-through cabling and network diagnostics without external switches. Short-circuit protection is provided between the load voltage groups, but not between individual channels — a design constraint to note when driving parallel loads or wiring shared power rails. The typical response threshold is 1.8 A. For lamp loads, the maximum switching frequency is 1 Hz, reflecting the high inrush of incandescent or LED capacitive loads. A diagnostic alarm and a red/yellow SF/MT group error LED allow fast fault isolation at the module level without requiring a backplane readout. The module also supports prioritized startup and uprating via the ET 200SP bus.
