Field-fit note
The 6ES7143-2BH00-0AB0 is an ET 200S digital I/O module with 8 inputs and 8 outputs, each configurable via parameters. It rides the PROFIBUS DP network at up to 12 Mbit/s; ramp-up at that speed takes about 80 ms. The die-cast aluminum housing (54 mm wide, 150 mm deep) takes a hard knock in the van and still works. Rated to 55 °C ambient—good for warm cabinets.
Fieldbus & diagnostics
PROFIBUS DP with bus fault (BF) and group error (SF) LEDs visible through the housing. Diagnostics frames report missing load voltage and short-circuit per group. No fumbling for a meter—status indicators per channel on both inputs and outputs.
I/O power & wiring
Rated load voltage 24 V DC (20.4 to 28.8 V range). For signal '1', output draws 7 mA typical; per-channel current up to 0.5 A, grouped short-circuit protection (X0 to X3, X2 to X3). Reverse-polarity protected, including electronic protection on the encoder supply.
