8 outputs, 4 configurable — ET 200PRO slice
The Siemens 6ES7143-4BF00-0AA0 is an ET 200PRO digital output module with 8 digital outputs, of which 4 are fixed DO and 4 are parameterizable as digital inputs (DIO). Each output is rated 0.5 A at 24 V DC, with electronic short-circuit protection per channel and reverse polarity protection against destruction. The module supports SIL 2 per IEC 62061, making it suitable for safety-related applications up to that level when integrated into a safety-rated ET 200PRO station. It also provides a diagnostic alarm and group error (SF red LED) for fault indication.
Switching speeds and load handling
Resistive load switching is rated at 100 Hz maximum, while inductive loads drop to 0.5 Hz and lamp loads to 1 Hz. Signal transition times (0→1 and 1→0) range from 1.2 ms min to 4.8 ms max, which sets the update rate for the downstream logic. The module draws up to 20 mA from the 1L+ supply with a typical power loss of 3 W.
Physical fit and isolation
Channel-to-channel isolation is not provided (no isolation between channels), but the module is isolation-tested at 707 V DC (type test). Unshielded cable runs up to 30 m are permitted.
