Field-mount I/O for distributed cabinets
The 6ES7143-5AF00-0BA0 is a SIMATIC ET 200AL digital I/O module that combines 4 digital inputs (parameterizable as DIQ) and 4 digital outputs in a single IP65/67-rated housing. It connects via a shielded M8, 4-pin ET-Connection, making it suitable for direct mounting on machine frames or in junction boxes where a control cabinet is impractical. Rated for SIL 2 per IEC 62061, the module can be used in safety-related applications up to that integrity level.
I/O configuration and diagnostics
The four digital inputs accept 24 VDC signals (signal "1" at +11 to +30 V, signal "0" at -3 to +5 V) with a typical input current of 3.2 mA at the rated voltage. Input filtering is configurable, with switching times between 1.2 ms and 4.8 ms for both rising and falling edges. The four digital outputs are grouped into two load groups of four outputs each, with a maximum group current of 2 A and a total encoder supply current of 0.7 A. Outputs are short-circuit protected (to M and to encoder supply), and the module supports parameterizable diagnostic alarms with a green/red LED for module status and a green LED per channel.
The module carries I&M data (I&M0 to I&M3) and firmware version V1.0.x, with HW functional status FS03.
