Two-channel 4-20 mA input with M12 termination
The Siemens 6ES7144-1GB41-0XB0 is a 2-channel analog input module for the SIMATIC ET200SP distributed I/O system, accepting 4 to 20 mA current signals from 2-wire or 4-wire transducers. Each input is terminated via a 4/5-pin M12 circular connector — the same form factor used across ET200SP IP67 blocks, so the wiring scheme stays consistent from the sensor to the backplane. Resolution is 12 bit plus sign with 17.5% overrange, giving you 0–27648 digital representation plus headroom above 20 mA for diagnostics like overflow or wire-break detection.
Diagnostics and alarms per channel
The module supports parameterizable diagnostics, including diagnostic alarm, hardware interrupt, limit value alarm (upper/lower per channel), and overflow/underflow detection per channel. A group error SF (red) LED on the module face signals any fault condition — useful for a quick visual scan on a crowded panel without pulling up the engineering station. Short-circuit protection is also provided channel by channel, which keeps a single failed sensor from taking down the whole module.
Integration time and interference rejection
Integration time is parameterizable to 16.7 ms or 20 ms, matching 50/60 Hz line frequencies for common-mode rejection of at least 60 dB. Cycle time for all channels maxes out at 134/160 ms (depending on integration setting) — adequate for process loops like temperature, pressure, or flow that don't need sub-cycle updates. Crosstalk between inputs is a minimum of 45 dB, so adjacent channels won't couple noise into each other even when running different process variables on the same module.
