Drive ratings and motor protection
The Siemens 6ES7148-1FA10-0XB0 is a variable frequency drive for induction motor control, running V/f characteristic with four-quadrant operation and an integrated EMC filter Type A to EN 55011. It delivers up to 2.1 A continuous at 2/4 kHz switching frequency (subject to derating above 1.9 A per the ambient and input current conditions), with overload capability of 150 % for 60 s. The drive is rated 1.5 kW per VDE and 2 hp per UL, supporting 2-, 4-, or 6-pole motors. Short-circuit protection is provided by an internal 4 A fuse; the drive itself is not short-circuit proof.
Protection and diagnostics
Diagnostics include overvoltage, undervoltage, ground-fault, short-circuit, and stall protection, plus motor thermistor input (4–5 kΩ). Isolation tested at 2 830 V DC between circuits and 1 500 V AC between load voltages.
