Integration brief
The 6ES7151-8AB01-0AB0: Programming is covered in LAD, FBD, STL, SCL, GRAPH, HiGraph, and CFC (the last two optional). CFC is listed as Yes; Optional, meaning the function blocks for continuous flow charts are available but not pre-loaded. The I²t rating of 0.13 A²·s is low — if you're coordinating overcurrent protection upstream, that figure tells you this module draws very little through-energy. It's not something you'll size a feeder breaker on, but it matters for fuse coordination in a multi-drop backplane.
Field-fit notes
Mounts in an ET 200S station; overall width is 120 mm — confirm the DP master module portion occupies 35 mm, so the rest is the CPU section. Depth is 75 mm, height 119.5 mm. The backplane bus supplies power; no separate 24V tap needed. PROFINET UDP and TCP/IP are accessible via loadable function blocks. MRP (Media Redundancy Protocol) is supported, which is useful for ring topologies if your line needs a redundant path. MPI is not present on this module — all communication is over PROFINET and RS-485. Retentive data must be restarted at each restart; the preset is no retentivity, so plan your keep-variables in the DB setup. Forcing is supported — handy on a commissioning trip when a sensor is stuck and you need to override the input.
