ET 200M Interface with Integrated Fiber Optic
The 6ES7153-2AB01-0XB0 is a SIMATIC DP interface module for the ET 200M distributed I/O system, handling up to eight S7-300 modules. It includes a built-in fiber optic connection (660 nm, 2 x duplex sockets) for building an optical PROFIBUS line, eliminating the need for a separate media converter. Redundancy support is standard. Transmission rate auto-selects up to 12 Mbit/s (compatible with 9,6 kbit/s to 12 Mbit/s), with automatic baud rate detection. The module also supports SYNC, FREEZE, and slave-to-slave direct data exchange as sender. Power loss is typically 4.5 W, and backplane bus draw is up to 1 A at 5 V DC. Current consumption from 24 V DC supply is max 500 mA.
Environmental and Mounting
The I2t rating of 0.1 A²·s indicates a low inrush stress on the backplane, and the module includes 15 message buffers for time stamping (resolution 1 ms) up to 128 digital inputs.
Software and Configuration
Configured via STEP 7, COM PROFIBUS, or any DP master tool using the GSD file SIEM8071.GSD (DPV1). Also supports time synchronization per RFC 1119 (ISP).
