PROFINET IO gateway for ET 200M racks
The Siemens 6ES7153-4AA00-0XB0 is the IM 153-4 PN IO interface module that connects an ET 200M remote I/O rack to a PROFINET IO network, supporting up to 12 S7-300 series I/O modules per interface. It handles 200 bytes of input and 200 bytes of output data, communicating at 100 Mbit/s using PROFINET IO with Real-Time Class 1 and 2. The integrated two-port switch allows line topology without an external switch.
Power and environmental limits
Runs on 24 VDC (20.4 to 28.8 V range) and draws up to 600 mA. The 5 ms mains failure buffering keeps the module alive through short supply dips. Rated IP20, so it belongs inside a cabinet. Operating range is 0 °C to 60 °C — the upper limit is what matters if the panel runs warm; stay below 60 °C ambient.
This is the PROFINET IO variant (PN IO). The earlier IM 153-4 PN (6ES7153-4AB00-0XB0) is a different order code; confirm which your BOM calls for before substituting.
