The Siemens 6ES7158-3MU10-0XA0 is an interface module for PROFINET networks operating at 100 Mbit/s full duplex (100BASE-TX). It supports ARP, MRP, and LLDP, making it suitable for redundant ring topologies.
Installation and thermal constraints
Mounts on 7.5 or 15 mm DIN rail with a width of 100 mm, height 117 mm, and depth 74 mm including rail. Ambient temperature range from -30 °C to 60 °C horizontally; vertical installation derates maximum to 50 °C. No condensation allowed. This affects panel layout—vertical mounting reduces thermal headroom.
