Media converter for ET 200SP fiber drops
The Siemens 6ES7193-6AG40-0AA0 is a SIMATIC bus adapter that acts as a media converter between glass fiber optic and copper FastConnect cabling. It mounts on the ET 200SP interface module, converting the PROFINET port from 100BASE-FX fiber to a copper RJ45 (via FastConnect) or vice versa. The single LC port operates at 1270–1380 nm, matching standard 100BASE-FX transceivers.
Reach and fiber compatibility
On multimode graded-index fiber, the adapter supports link distances up to 3 km with both 50/125 µm and 62.5/125 µm cable types. That covers most plant-floor fiber runs between cabinets without repeaters. The PROFINET interface provides two ports in a switch configuration — one LC fiber, one FastConnect copper — so a single adapter can daisy-chain to the next device.
Environmental limits and mounting
Rated for horizontal installation up to 60 °C and vertical installation up to 50 °C, with a minimum of -30 °C in either orientation. Maximum installation altitude is 5000 m above sea level, with derating above 2000 m per the ET 200SP system manual. The adapter is at hardware functional status FS04.
