Pre-assembled M8 bus cable for ET 200AL
The Siemens 6ES7194-2LN15-0AA0 is a flexible 4-core bus cable, 15 m long, pre-assembled at both ends with 2x M8 plugs (4-pin, shielded). It is designed for connecting ET-CONNECTION nodes such as SIMATIC ET 200AL in IP65/67 environments. The cable designation is 2Y(ST)CY 1x4x0.5/1.0-100-GN, with a green PVC sheath and an outer diameter of 5 mm. The shield is an overlapped aluminum-clad foil with a braid of tin-plated copper wires, providing noise immunity for industrial fieldbus signals.
Thermal and mechanical limits
During assembly, the ambient temperature must stay between -30 °C and 80 °C to avoid damaging the PVC sheath or PE core insulation. Minimum bending radius for a single bend is 20 mm; for multiple bends it is 40 mm. Continuous flexing applications require a 100 mm bend radius. The 0.5 mm inner conductor diameter and 1 mm core insulation diameter set the signal conductor size.
The cable is silicone-free but not halogen-free. The 180° cable outlet type and M8 4-pin connectors are fixed — no field-wiring option exists; the assembly is factory-terminated.
