Rugged bus cable for IP65/67 distributed I/O
This is the Siemens 6ES7194-2MN15-0AA0, a flexible 4-core bus cable preassembled with 2x M8 plugs, shielded, in a green PUR jacket. It's built for connecting ET-CONNECTION nodes like SIMATIC ET 200AL in IP65/67 environments – think right where the grease and chips fly, not in a climate-controlled cabinet. The cable runs 15 meters, so it can bridge a machine zone without a junction box. Temperature range is -40°C to 80°C, which covers cold warehouses up to the heat next to a motor or drying oven. The PUR jacket shrugs off oils and abrasion out here in the grease. Halogen-free and silicone-free – that matters if this cable runs into a panel that sees food-washdown or where outgassing could foul a sensor lens.
Shielding and bend radii for tight routing
The shield is overlapped aluminum-clad foil plus a braid of tin-plated copper wires – proper for noisy drive environments. Single bend radius down to 20 mm gets it through a tight gland plate; multiple bends need 40 mm minimum. That's tight enough for most drag chains if you don't cycle it a million times.
