What it is and what it does
The Siemens 6ES7195-0AA02-0XA0 is a PROFIBUS-DP slave protocol ASIC. It handles the complete DP communication stack on-chip, so an integrator can drop it onto a board with the appropriate transceiver and processor interface to build a DP slave node. Packaged in a 5-stick — five identical ASICs per order unit, intended for prototype runs, small-series production, or board-level repair spares.
