That means Siemens no longer supports new projects with this part, but it's still available for existing production lines and spares. What it does
This is the ERTEC 200P – an ASIC that implements a PROFINET IO interface with an integrated ARM processor and a 2-port Ethernet switch plus PHY, running at 100 Mbit/s. It offloads real-time Ethernet stack handling from the host controller. The group code is R1DS, product group 4512. Export control is AL:N / ECCN:N, so no special license needed for most shipments.
