SM 1223: 8 AC Inputs + 8 Relay Outputs on a 45mm Base
This 6ES7223-1QH32-0XB0 is a current-production SIMATIC S7-1200 signal module that packs eight AC-sensing digital inputs and eight relay outputs into a single 45 mm wide unit. AC input thresholds are set for 79 V at 2.5 mA to register a logic 1, and 20 V at 1 mA for logic 0, with a maximum input current of 9 mA typical. The relay outputs switch up to 250 V AC or 30 V DC, handle lamp loads up to 200 W AC / 30 W DC, and include a diagnostic alarm. Operating range spans -40 °C to 70 °C, and module dissipation sits at 7.5 W typical.

Width 45 mm, height 100 mm, depth 75 mm. IP20 enclosure. Accepts unshielded sensor cables up to 150 m; shielded runs can go to 500 m. The AC inputs are parameterizable and have a max. on-delay of 10 ms. Relay outputs are grouped in three separate commons (In Groups Of 4). For inductive loads, ensure appropriate suppression acc. to relay data. The module clips onto a standard DIN rail and draws its logic power from the backplane bus; no external 24 V needed for the input side.
